1st Injury

Audrey had her first little injury last week! Poor girl! I was holding her hand walking out of our playroom. I lifted her up over a big stuffed animal dog, she immediately started crying and holding her arm. I felt like the worst mother ever. We tried getting her to pick up stuff with it to see what the problem was. It was so sad she couldn't even move it. We ended up taking her to the urgent care. I had pulled her elbow out of the socket. I guess it is fairly common with little kids. They wanted her to wear this little sling for a week so it would help her to remember to be careful with her arm. Yeah, right! What one year old wants to be confined with a sling. I could only keep it on her for about half the day. I could tell her arm was sore for a couple of days but that didn't stop her. Little kids are so amazing that way!

Lately when I tell Audrey to look at the camera and smile she says "cheese" and then closes her eyes! It is so frustrating because I can't get a good picture of her! Here is her in action!

Getting Ready For Summer!

This we will be the six summer having our pool!! It's hard to believe that it has been that long. We have loved having a pool! It makes the summer so much more enjoyable!! This year we decided to drain and acid wash the pool to get it ready for the summer. It was needed and looks so nice and clean!

When we filled up the pool five years ago when we had it built Lisa and Lanette's kids sat on the step and we took a picture. I loved it, and still have it on my fridge! This time only Lanette's kids were here (except for Karly who wasn't home). It was fun to have Landon and Audrey in the picture this time too! We couldn't imagine life without them!

They of course had to do a funny face picture too!

Audrey's Latest Loves!

Turning off and on the lights! She thinks it is a really fun game. It about makes me crazy!

Getting stuck in her crib! Just kidding. It has happened a couple of times recently and she DOES NOT LOVE IT! She yells stuck from her crib. Good thing she knows how to say that word. Jason almost broke the crib trying to get her out this time! I thought cribs were made not to have these things happen?!

She Thinks She's So Big Because..........

{Yes, she has been way into going potty!! She will usually go potty in her new little potty several times a day! Practice, Practice, Practice makes perfect right? We still have a long way to go!}

{Audrey absolutely refuses to sit in her highchair!! Sad day for me! She also has figured out how to drink out of a cup and loves it! I can hardly get her to drink out of a sippy cup unless we are not at home!}

She really does think she is so big! She wants to do what everyone else is doing. I love watching her learn new things, I just wish she would slow down a little. She learns and does so many new things all the time. I sometimes feel like she becomes a completely different person every couple of months!

Babies, Binkis, and Bedtime!

Audrey has always had a love for her pacifiers or "pacies" as she calls them. She always has to take two or three of them with her to bed. She has also always loved babies but has never had to take them with her to bed until this last week. She has insisted on taking a baby with her for naps and bedtime. This is how I found her a few days in a row during her nap!

Easter 2010

This year Easter was so nice! I love it when Easter falls on conference weekend. It always makes it much more low key! We went to my dads in the afternoon to be with family. Audrey had a great time playing with all her cousins. I'm a terrible mother, and took no pictures of her with her Easter basket. I guess that isn't what's really important! Right?? We did hide a few eggs around our family room. She thought that was so cool. She just kept saying eggs and giggling!

Naughty or Nice?

DEFINITELY NAUGHTY!!

My sweet little girl has found a little bit of a naughty side. She loves to get into pens, markers, makeup, and anything else she is not suppose to. Today I discovered her with desitin all over her mouth. She thought she had put lipstick on! She has been loving getting something she is not suppose to in her hands. When I tell her to bring it to me she runs away so fast. She thinks it is the funniest game ever!

Look at her eyes in this picture. You can tell she knows she is not suppose to color on herself. She is obviously so proud that she did. Why do some kids get such joy out of coloring on themselves!

Loving Laura!

We are so lucky to have my niece Laura and her husband Dallin live near us. Audrey loves them!! Laura came over on Sunday to borrow some eggs. Audrey wouldn't let her go home without her!!

Laura let Audrey help make cookies (or tuties - that is what Audrey calls them).

We took Landon and Bryson with us to pick Audrey up. They all had to try out Laura and Dallin's new swing. They loved it!

DISNEYLAND!!!

We were able to go to Disneyland with my brother, Ryan's, family a couple of weeks ago. We had a GREAT time!!! I'm so glad we were able to go together! We made lots of great memories! Here are a few of them........

DAY 1

NO PICTURES :( IT RAINED ALL DAY! IT SO FRUSTRATING AND COMICAL AT THE SAME TIME. WE STUCK IT OUT AND WERE ALL VERY WET, TIRED, AND COLD BY THE END OF THE DAY. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE MEMORIES FROM THAT DAY!

When we got there we realized Anna and Audrey had matching pajamas. They thought that was pretty cool!My dad flew over for the second day we were there! It was so fun to have him come. The kids loved having him!

Audrey refused to sit on a fish on the merry go round! What a stinker! Thank goodness for Grandpa who was willing to sit and hold her.

This is my favorite picture from the whole trip. Jason wanted to go on this ride soooo bad. I refused. It was a cold day, and I had gotten wet on Splash Mountain the day before. Knowing my luck I would be the one to get wet again. Ryan and Maria were good sports and agreed to go with him. This picture was taken just moments after Jason got soaked! He obviously was so proud of it. If you want to have a lot of fun at an amusement park take Jason. He laughs so hard on every ride and acts like a big kid.

Christmas Lights!

We went to see the Christmas lights at the Temple last weekend with some of Jason's family that came to visit. The kids all had fun walking around the temple grounds. The Temple grounds looked beautiful as usual.
